I tried sibling cosleeping and it has been a failure!

My 4-year-old has been sleeping in her own room without any problems since she turned 3. My 2-year-old has been sleeping with me since birth. The 4-year-old has started waking up crying during the night wanting to sleep with me again. I thought that if I moved the 2-year-old into my older daughter's room that might help. I was wrong! We moved her 5 nights ago and the last two nights I have gotten NO SLEEP. One or the other wakes up and won't go back to sleep. Last night the 2-year-old woke up the 4-year-old. I am in their room EVERY HOUR all night. I am wondering if I should just bring both of them back into my bed full time. What do you all think? If so, should I just let the older one start off the night in my bed so that I won't have to keep one ear open to listen for her on the monitor? My husband works nights, so when I have to get up to go get the 4-year-old I usually end up waking up the 2-year-old who was in my bed. I just feel like such a failure! I feel like we have MAJORLY regressed and I can't see it getting any better. Any suggestions/advice will be greatly appreciated!

Sorry but why are you using a monitor for and getting out of bed for a 4yo who is not ill? Tell her that if she wakes up in the night and is lonely she can come and climb into your bed. That's what my 4yo does and it works really well. DH & I barely wake up, she goes right back to sleep, done and done. And if your 2yo sleeps better in your bed, I'd have her back too. My policy is whatever gets everybody the most sleep!
