Watch the stickers at safeway

Occasionally, to get rid of their excess milk, juice, and stuff that is about to expire, they'll put 75 cent off stickers on the product. I thought no matter how many stickers, you just got that off once, but my mom said no, you get that amount off for each sticker. So I stumbled across some milk on it's last sell-by days that each had three of these stickers. So I got $2.25 off $2.99 milk. 2 Gallons for $1.50. One gallon is in the freezer, and I'm going to use a lot of the other gallon to make biscuits for the freezer.

A bunch of the others had 50% off stickers.

Yep, I love this. I've done this for some of their rather expensive yogurt (forget the name of it). We shop their clearance meat ALL OF THE TIME. Just watch the meat, as they sometimes mark the original price up before slapping on the 30% off coupon. Not always, but sometimes.

Yeah SW is fab for this, I think if I remember right their dairy markdown is on thurs, so that's when you can get the best deals on this. I've gotten yogurts for free+overage, using the clearance stickers, a coupon, and an e-coupon on my club card. Best was I once got og milk for 3 gallons and that was less than the original price of one. I've gotten og whip cream, 1/2 n 1/2. They have a clearance zone in meat too, I've gotten Og chicken breasts for less than regular. It's great to watch those stickers, they can save you $$$ for sure.

My MIL is the queen of this, she goes in the early AM when they are doing the markdowns and grabs them up.

Just went to SW as I had to get some chicken breasts. I got boneless skinless breasts, organic kind, for pretty cheap as they had a 30% off sticker on them. I am not sure how much they were, but they were the more expensive kind normally.
