Suggest a mei tai for us please

I have two littles who like to be worn- both are well over 20 lbs.

I want a toddler-size mei tai with a hood.

I need/want xl straps.

I would love seat darts- or at least angled straps on the bottom to create a nice pocket (I have a kid who loves to straighten his legs to try to pop out.)

So- link me up please?

I can sew one if necessary, but I'm here alone with three kids, so by the time *I* finish, they may be in high school.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my bamberoo. but they are a bit pricey. i'd check www.thebabywearer.com and see what is on FSOT

I'm hoping to find something that is moderately readily available, but I suspect I am asking for a lot.

If the chance of my finding something of this sort for less than $100 doesn't exist, I'll have to make it myself. I think I am mostly afraid of padding the straps.

anything on FSOT over there is "available" but i understand too. i know babyhawks are pretty easy to come by but usually dont have a hood. I also know you can get XL straps on those.

i was able to try ones of these and loved it. sadly, the length was too long for my 8m old. i guess you are suppose to roll it down, which is what i did to try it on, but then you don't get the benefit of the seat darts.

I've looked at those before. Did you find the straps were long enough to lexi twist or tie tibetan? That's the only reason I haven't snagged one- they don't have an XL strap length option...

I usggest making your own. It's not hard. To pad the straps you use a double layer of fleece and quilt it. Takes time but it is not hard at all.
