Holey sheets

I know a chunk of it is the cat, particularly the sheets on DH's bed. But all my knit sheets wind up with holes. Ipatch and patch and patch, but at some point, the sheet just becomes so much scrap fabric.

Am i stuck just using woven sheets? Or is there something else i can do to reduce the holes (short of declawing the cat)? Or is there a brand of knit sheets that is less likely to become holey?

We keep sheets on the couch because we have a toddler, but i just pulled them off tonight w the realization that they're not going to last much longer (granted, they are 6 or so yrs old).

I stopped using knit sheets because they developed holes so quickly! We use a higher thread count woven or cute printed flannel now.

I hate knit sheets. I had one set and promptly replaced them.

I just wanted to say, that you shouldn't toss them. You can make "tarn" (t-shirt yarn) from them.

I can't help you with a "reliable" brand (I'm German and thus not familiar with what is available at stores in the U. S.) but from my experience there is quite a difference between the cheaper and more expensive versions. The cheaper ones seem to always have holes. (I don't have a cat, though.)
