How does one edit the title of a thread?

Can you please help me? I've updated information on a thread I started and would like to update the title now.

Could someone please tell me how can I edit the title of a thread?

Hi! If you click the "Edit" button on the first post, and then the "Go Advanced" button, it will give you the title box, which you can edit. After a certain point in time, however, I think that you may not be able to edit the title. You can always PM a mod and ask them to edit the title for you if you are unable to.

I did exactly as you describe, but it doesn't work for me anymore. It used to, but not anymore. Oh well, time to start a new thread?

You can start a new thread, yes. Or you can PM the mod and they can change the title.
