Hi, mamas, so happy to be here!
I'm looking for connections with special ed (specifically SPD) and Florida families, hoping to find SPD resources and support around Longwood/ Winter Park FL. My nephew is kindergarten. My sister just moved out there 3 weeks ago, and she's scrambling to settle in, start a new job, etc. I've offered to research because I have more time to chat about schools, staff, fun programs, advocacy.
Let's have a conversation! My family members are running into a lot of trouble getting the school to honor/ implement the IEP, and I'm new to the field (finished SpEd teacher cert. May 2008). What do we need to know!!
