Things to make out of tree branches

I found some tree branches lying around in the woods and took them home to cut into stuff. I cut some into smallish sizes for blocks, like about 3 inches long, some discs, some sticks about 3/4 inches in diameter and 5 inches long. My daughter likes playing with those.

Then we tried to whittle one into an egg shape, but the wood was so hard it took my husband a really really long time. I want to find some softer wood for that.

What else can we make? I'm so excited to have all this free wood to make free toys but can't think of what else to make!

some wind chime type things? I just made a mobile with small branches and leaf cut out shapes.. that might be neat.

a friend of mine made a really neat hanging decoration. She used several branches and tied them together, attached fishing line in multiple spots to the branches, and used beads,shells,stones,etc. threaded through the line in all different sizes and colors. Gorgeous!

Stringing beads? Cut them into discs and drill holes in them?

Harry Potter wands (sand/whittle them into a wand-like shape).
