When I found out I was pregnant with #3, we bought a Pilot. However, we use the Spectra because it gets better gas mileage--and we can fit all kids in the backseat, but one is not in a carseat and are seriously considering giving up the SUV when our lease is up (although I say, sell it and pocket the difference).
But, for 2 kids, they can both sit outboard. If and when you add a third, it depends on what kind of seats you have for them. The Radians and Cocorros are pretty narrow and can be put 3-across easily. Other types of seats may or may not work depending on how you "puzzle" it.
