Aren't younger babies suppose to be sleeping like 16+ hrs a day? DS goes down to bed around 10- get's up to nurse every 3 hrs and is up by 7-7:30ish. Right there, that is 9 hrs.
From there, he is awake most of the day. When we put him down for naps, he is awake within 45min to an hour (but before he was sleeping 3 hrs each nap time). I know my 3 year old is loud and the house in general is loud during the day. I wonder if he is being over-stimulated?
He had an issue with silent reflux (we think- no definitive diagnosis) and I eliminated things from my diet and he is doing good enough where he doesn't need meds (He's not screaming out in pain and he no longer sounds like he is drowning when laying down). I wonder maybe he still has silent relux and the burn is waking him up? He doesn't need to nurse every time he wakes up, he just needs to be soothed back to sleep.
He stays awake about 1.5-2 hrs at a time now. I can't remember what the baby stage was like with DS so I can't compare my notes...
