The estimated arrival of our second child will be just a week or two after our first son turns 3. I'm in the first trimester. We are not actually CLW in that he does not nurse on demand. I only let him nurse morning and night right now. We weaned down to that in order to get pregnant and he was pretty willing. He does ask sometimes to nurse in the evening or during the day, but he's generally pretty easy to distract. I often really want to let him nurse on demand... but at the same time, my nipples are more sore now (or maybe he is clamping down harder) and I am exhausted beyond belief. I will often sleep 10 hours at night and still feel wiped out during the day. I'm also nauseous all the time and finding it difficult to eat well. I work full time outside the home, and sometimes I feel like that is all I have the energy to do (and just barely).

When my son was a newborn, he nursed pretty much around the clock with just moments of popping off. I found it very hard to nurse him that often and cherished my "breaks" when hubby could distract him onto something else. I'm not sure how I will manage to nurse both and I worry that my son will be jealous of the baby getting to nurse so much and that he will want to nurse more as a result. Any advice or suggestions? How does it work out?
