So my 5 mo ds has just recently decided he was going from 3 naps to 2 last week. The past 3 days however, nap #2 is HOURS after the first nap.
He wakes up at 7am and goes to bed at 7pm. (approximately)
His first nap is right around 9am (or 2 hours after waking) and he's always ready and tired for that one.
Saturday he didn't want nap #2 until 2pm which was 4 hours after nap #1 ended.
Sunday he didn't want nap #2 until 3pm which was 5 hours after nap #1 ended. This means he went to bed late because he wasn't tired.
Today he didn't want nap #3 until 4pm which was almost 6 hours after nap #1 ended. Holy cow! He had two quick naps in the car because I don't want a repeat of yesterday's late bedtime.
He's been in a very good mood even with missing the naps. We only jsut got a nap routine worked out in the past 3 weeks. Now it's gone haywire. I know he needs more sleep than this, and he PASSED out cold in the car at 4:10 today.
I tried 3 times to get him to nap when he was rubbing his eyes, but each time he ate, and then was ready to play. I tried to convince him otherwise, but no way Jose!
I'm really hoping things will get back to normal soon... anyone else had similar experiences?
