CLO Current Recommendations and Prices

It's getting to be the time of year we like to start supplementing with CLO. I just wanted to touch base and see whether the Blue Ice fermented CLO is still high on the list of recommended brands. Any new brands that look good? And what about good prices? The Green Pastures site is so expensive! Last year I ordered the Blue Ice fermented CLO through Azure Standard, but it looks like they aren't carrying it anymore. Recommendations? Thanks!!!

Green Pasture is still considered "the best". I heard Azure still has it, but you need to call to order it - I think they had too many complaints about how nasty it was and want to make sure you know what you are in for
Last time I price shopped, Natural Health Advocates was the cheapest, but now they appear to cost the same as direct from Green Pasture.

Thank you; it is good to have confirmation that Blue Ice is still "the best." Last year I paid $34.20 per bottle at Azure, so I am going to contact them to see whether they still have it. I didn't see it on their website so I assumed it wasn't available, but I am going to ask them about now! If they don't have it, the other site you suggested does have free shipping with orders over $50, so that helps. Thanks!

What about the plain old HVCLO at radiantlifecatalog? It's not fermented, but it's only about $17. compared to fermented at $43. I'm thinking about just going that route this time, unless another good deal on the fermented comes up again.

Just a follow up. I emailed Azure Standard to see whether they still carried the Blue Ice, and they replied back and confirmed that it was still available but not via Internet order, but only by phone. So I just called and ordered my winter supply.

Thanks so much for this info! I just called Azure and I was given the item number for the non-gelatin unflavored capsules that I just added to my regular order.

Two flavors of the Blue Ice are on sale right now for $25 a bottle, which is a really great price:  http://www.greenpasture.org/retail/?t=products&a=line&i=fermented-cod-liver-oil

I have not tried either flavor, so can't vouch for either.  I can say that the plain, flavor-free is particularly horrid this year.  One of my children commented that it tasted more like "dog" than "fish."  Ugh.  We are having trouble getting it down, so maybe I will pick up a bottle of the arctic mint to see whether it masks the taste a little bit.  orngtongue.gif

I'm interested in this, too.  I'm just not sure I can get anyone to take the fermented variety.

I think it's fine (not too fishy) and I think the main reason it is no longer recommended is that it is not being made anymore, so buy it now if you want it.
