5yo and 2yo and new baby

Thread Starter
We have a king size bed and on the floor beside it is a twin mattress, my 5yo has been sleeping on the twin. And the 2yo is sleeping in between me and dh.
And a baby due in April. I really want to get the 2yo out of our bed before the baby comes. However he still nurses in the middle of the night.
The past few weeks my 5yo has been waking in the middle of the night and gets in the bed with us, which makes for cramped sleeping. Ive got to do something to change this..but i dont know what to do.
I would love to put the 2yo on the floor with the 5yo...but i'm not sure a twin is big enough for the 2 of them.
Any ideas or suggestions?

well im not too much help as me DH almost 7yr old DSD and both DS's ( 3 1/2 and 9 month) still sleep on the queen + twin with us BUT

DH and DSD used to share a twin together. If my DH can fit on a twin with her your to DC totally can!

I am in a similar boat with a 6 year old, 1 year old (she'll be one in December), and baby due in April, too!

6 year old is in her own room and the baby is in bed with us, but I don't want two in bed with me. Newborns nurse so often, I can't imagine being able to nurse the one year old too... so I'm looking for advice on night weaning, and I want to put the one year old in bed with her sister.

Her sister loves the idea but she's still in a toddler bed (crib size mattress) so I need to get a twin. I think there would be no problem the two of them fitting on a twin.

I don't know if it's an option for you, but it might work to put the two of them in a separate room from yours where there's room for a bigger mattress, too. Since they'll be together, they might be comfortable not being in your room.
