Why not Tide free?

I've seen multiple times that you shouldn't use Tide Free, but only regular Tide on CDs... Why?

I don't know. Both Tide and Tide Free contain optical brighteners, which are bad for PUL.

Enzymes can cause redness and burning on many babies.

i use it for my prefolds and PUL covers without issues

Also didn't see problems with my PUL (yet) with Tide. Also no rashes yet. Until I find something else that works it is Tide versus ammonia for me. Ammonia can cause bad rashes. We have not had a rash yet with Tide. I do an extra rinse after washing and use minimal amount.

We use tide free for all our laundry. We have cotton fitteds, microfiber, pul pockets. No problems.
