EC Store Trainers

Thread Starter
I just ordered one of the custom ones for DS(almost 2 years old) and I'm thinking if I like it, I will get them for the new baby due in December too. Trainers are really all I'll need for EC, right? Because I do plan on doing coverless at home most of the time, and changing with every pee whether at home or not. So a trainer will hold that, right(for the newborn)? I didn't pay attention to my son's amount of pee per pee when he was little, so I don't know how much comes out at once.

I'm having trouble getting daddy or my mom(who babysits) to change DS after every pee, so I'm hoping the trainers will help that since they can't hold more. I did get the waterproof for him, and will get a mix of both for the new baby.

Trainers can be all you need. Though sometimes in car seats if there is a miss, trainers can leak. You can either get a trainer style with an option for adding an insert, or you could get a waterproof cover to put over the car seat.

For nights, it will depend upon if you EC at night. Trainers can work fine-that is what I did primarily-but you would probably need something that lets you add extra absorbency. Or you may want a waterproof pad for the bed-there are many made for EC. http://www.parttimeec.com/ec-mats-sh...-directory.htm

As my DS got older and did not want to EC at night, or be changed at night, I did start to use a cloth diapers occasionally because a trainer wasn't always holding pees throughout the whole night without getting the bed wet.

It sounds like trainers should cover most of your needs though
