Due any day- Pink eye?

My mom went to the doctor today and found out she has pink eye in both eyes. The doctor really doesn't know which one it is, but is giving her medicine/drops for both the viral and bacterial kind, she says it may even be allergies. They said she could go back to work tomarrow. Problem is my mom has been staying at our house in our spare bedroom waiting for the baby to come who is due any day, she is basically my doula. I have tried to do some engine searches on how to disinfect and can't really find any suggestions on what to clean with. I have two other young children a 4 year old and 19 mo. old. I know to wash hands a lot, but what else can I do to keep this from spreading to all of us? My mom is going to go on home and stay at her house for now. How long should she stay at home, how long is she contagious? Thanks for any suggestions.

honestly basic good hand washing and hygiene. I always told people to make sure not to share things like towels and linens. Wash those frequently especially these first few days with HOT water and dry completly.

Washing hands and usually reminding the person not to touch their face (which most people do countless times a day unaware) will really help. As well as having your children periodically wash their hands throughout the day not just when eating.

make sure that she discards any eye makeup and clean (diluted water/rubbing alcohol) any makeup brushes. You can also use that mix for things like cleaning glasses and sunglasses that could get secretions on it.

but really its just being aware and conscience of keeping clean hands. I did wipe down common surfaces (light switches,door handles,chairs)with some chlorx wipes a little more than normal but I do that anyways.
