Newbie - GMD Prefolds

I bought 3 doz of Yellow edge and 3 doz of red edge. Will this really last me through 18 months? Or, should I exchange the red edge to the brown ones to keep my cost down?

I have a 98% in height 14mo old and he still fits just fine into the red edge. If you are planning on using prefolds until potty learning though you will probably need the brown eventually. The green are just HUGE.

ETA: The yellow are going to seem really large at first, but lots of people here use them from birth. I bought the orange edge (newborn) and they lasted me all of two weeks lol!

The orange edge lasted me to 5 weeks, though I probably would have switched out at 3-4 weeks, but I was waiting for the order to come. (And I waited too long to order them as I figured she wouldn't gain so fast and they were "supposed" to work to 6-8 weeks).

Now I am using the yellow edge...and she just clocked in at 13 lbs 9 oz. for her 2 month (she gained 1 pound per week!!!). They are fitting okay.
