Bouncer help!

Ok, it shouldn't be this difficult. All I want is a super simple (like, fabric and frame) bouncer. Something super light and unfussy. That doesn't cost $80.

In all of my online searching, all I've found is this:

http://www.bouncinette.ca/

which is PERFECT and exactly what I'm looking for, except I can't find any US retailers that sell it. It's a product from New Zealand, $80 to ship from them and $40 to ship from the above Canadian company. I might as well spend $80 on a Bjorn bouncer.

Anyone have any ideas??

Your best bet is going to be finding something older and used. It is getting harder to find "simple" baby things these days.

Seriously though, for me, i wanted a very plan exersaucer. One that i could put my ds in for 5 min while I used the bathroom or switched over the laundry. I did not want one with flashing lights and songs and buttons etc.

Eventually I found on on the side of the road that was clearly an "older model" because all it had was the seat part and then a completely blank "shelf" (for lack of a better descriptor) that goes all the way around, that i could set a few interesting toys on. So I totally lucked out because i found it free on the side of the road.

Maybe try checking out consignment shops/craigslist/etc.

Isn't it so frustrating that no one makes SIMPLE baby things anymore? Even finding plain colored shirts for little ones can be hard! Apparently babies need CONSTANT excitement and color and lights and action and need to be covered in animals and tools and trucks and flowers and stripes and dots.

I don't know where to find a simple bouncer but good luck to you if you can find one! It sure would be NICE.

ITA, I have been looking for a simple baby seat/bouncer and I have found some, but they're all super-expensive. I liked the Svan one, but come on, the price is just silly! I've seen them for less than the link below, but still really $$

The Bjorn is about the simpliest one that I've seen on the market. It's been VERY frustrating trying to pick one out. I want a simple one as well, but so many seem to be made so that the baby sits almost upright. Great for an older baby, but not so great for a newborn.

I have one with the activity bar across it but the bar can be removed.

It looks like the bar would be removable on most of these. Older babies tend to like the activity bar from my experience:

I like the Bjorn one. And organic to boot.

most have a removable activity bar

and you dont have to use vibration/sound function (remove battery and it wont even accidentally turn on!)

If you want for cheap, buy seconhand, remove activity bar and batteries and voila you have a very plain bouncer!

We bought one of the cheap ones at Walmart (about $30) that has a removable toy bar.
