What lovey does your LO like?

I'm researching lovies to buy for my 5mo old. Wish I could make one, but I can't sew. I knit, but think cloth would be the best/softest way to go. So far I've found Under the Nile bunny blanket friend and Miyim lovey blanket w/monkey or frog attached. Everything else seems so small, he'll outgrow it fast. I really want to stick with organic. Any suggestions? Does your babe like using one at all?

My daughter has a Bitty Bu set (2 loveys) from Tickety Bu and she and I both love them. Kristi of Tickety Bu has gorgeous colorways, and she dyes the OBV herself. Super soft and super cuddly!

edit: Sorry, I should specify, OBV is organic bamboo velour.

2 of my 3 have super soft blankies (we have 3 of each - it's well worth it to have multiples!). The 5yo's has satin one one side and microplush on the other. He likes to rub the satin to go to sleep still. Carters, I think - they've worn well over 935893284832 washings! 2yo has microplush on both sides - from Target. The microplush has worn really well for both kids. If you get one with satin, make sure it's good quality or it will not last. Fleece will not last well either.

DS has just recently taken a liking to this guy, Skipit. Not sure if it's been elevated quite to lovey status, but its the first toy he seems to really like (he's 10 months). The paws and ears are always crusty from being chewed.

I found a picture to share if you want to see what her Bitty Bu looks like.

for a blanket lovey we have angel dear http://www.angeldear.net/cuddle/1121_giraffe_c.php

My son LOVES this though http://www.bunniesbythebay.com/produ...21&Category=63
my daughter still has her bunnies at the age of 4 and LOVES them

I was given one of these http://www.snoedel.com/Snoedels.aspx while my daughter was in the NICU and when my son was in the NICU I bought him two. I love them cause they absorb my scent and they cuddle with them. They have them for toddlers too.

My dd ( 3 weeks old) was just gifted a Barefoot Dreams lovey blanket. She hasn't used it yet, of course. But, I wish I had one!! It is made of organic bamboo and it is SO soft and stretchy. I'm sure she's going to love it. I'm thinking I better buy one now for rotation when she gets older!!!

Thanks for the suggestions, I really like a lot of these, but most aren't organic, which I want. I'm still debating a blanket or animal? I like the ones that incorporate both.

The Tickety Bu ones are organic bamboo velour.

My DD has a lovey that's a blanket with an animal head at one corner.. She's 13mo and could really care less about it. Neither of my kids have been into lovies, I think it's totally a personality thing.

I am my kids' lovey .

(Sorry I know that's not very helpful but neither of my children have had the slightest interest in lovies. I suppose there's still time for DS, but at the moment, nothing!)

I went with a bunny made of organic cotton from Under the Nile. I figure if he doesn't adapt to it as a lovie it'll be a good teething toy with plenty of knots to chew on

We have angeldear blankie as well - babyblue elephant. DD was not into loveys until 8-9 months.

dd never had one, she's a thumb sucker.
ds has several of dd's burp cloths which are now his loveys. I'm guessing because they smell like me from years of use.
