Weird taste in mouth?

Does anyone else have this symptom? I feel like if I'm not constantly eating or chewing gum or sucking on hard candy, I get this weird flavor/taste in my mouth that doesn't go away and then makes me nauseous.

Yep! It's almost metallic. Preggie Pop Drops have helped me out with that a bunch. I've also heard that acupuncture can completely fix the problem. It's so gross that I can't swallow unless something is in my mouth which leads me to spit

But it's worth it...whatever I have to go thru to get the baby here (I'm in a happy place today)

Hard Jolly Rancher's(cherry and watermelon) are really good! They used to make my nausea go away.

There is this thing going around with Chinese pinenuts that causes a metallic taste in your mouth but I also read that it is a common side effect of pregnancy.

yup, I have the metallic taste thing on and off. It makes me nauseaus, like I have too much spit in my mouth, and then I either gag or throw up. Yuck, no fun!!

Totally. Nothing makes me feel sicker than the taste of my own mouth! I'm an altoid junkie right now.

I have the same thing. My nausea is actually improving but what constantly makes me feel nauseous is the bad taste in my mouth. It's basically there whenever I'm not eating and for about 10 mins after... then the bad taste sets in. Eating a candy or mint helps, but 10 mins after it's back again :/ I can't wait for that to be gone. I think it's making me eat more!

ditto for me. I had the same problem my last pregnancy and I kept a bag of jolly ranchers on me at all times! It helped and the problem eventually went away. This time super-sweets and mints just seem to make it worse.
