More Gentle Books like The Penderwicks?

I'd love some new recommendations. My daughter (7.5) is re-reading the Penderwicks books (she read both - though I see another is coming out next summer), and she loved them. I'd love some more recommendations of books that she might like as well!

Thanks

I'm not sure about what a 7.5 year old might like, and I don't know the series you wrote about...however, I am currently reading "The Children of Noisy Village" to my 5 year old daughter, and we both love it. I'm not sure what the reading level would be, but it's worth a look.

I keep a catalog of books we own at LibraryThing and have labelled three or four dozen of them as "gentle stories." You might get some ideas from that list. The Children of Noisy Village is on it, for which I'd heartily second the recommendation above.

The Saturdays series by Elizabeth Enright is wonderful, and very gentle. We have listened to them on CD.
