Did your kids miss so much school due to the illness that they had to repeat the school year?

No. In our case it was extremely mild, merely an irritation at night.

Not at all! We just got it here around the end of August and it's on the tail end for all of us. My daughter was only out of school for a week, and that was just to give her the antibiotics and make the school happy about it not being contagious anymore

I missed a month of 5th grade due to lice. (They were all killed in a day with the harsh chemical shampoo, but it took a looooong time to work all the dead eggs off of my thick long hair. I showed up to school every morning, was inspected in the main office, and then sent home because they were able to find an egg still stuck to my hair.) My sister also missed a month of 1st grade due to the same reason.

I can't remember if our assignments were sent home for us. I am assuming my parents had to explain to us how to do some of them, since we missed the lesson. But we both were promoted with decent grades, so it must have been fine.
