I'm trying to declutter my bookshelf. I'm keeping, of course, books I love and will read again and books that I haven't read, but plan to.
The problem is what to do with the ones I don't love and no longer need cluttering up my house. I have about 40 gently used contemporary fiction books. I guess the problem is wanting to get something for them, rather than just donating, because our family is really hurting for money. I went to a used bookstore which I'd been told buys books, but they only do a store credit. I could list on Amazon (used to do this about 5 years ago) but it looks like everyone's offering the same books I have for a penny each (what the hey?!). Does anyone still make money doing Amazon? Or any other ideas on what to do with books? I'm not looking for much, just a dollar or two per book.
