I got my board payment for my GS yesterday. It was still paid by the state at the unlicensed rate (I'm a relative caregiver) and my agency must have messed up because my CW told me that I was officially licensed in June. The previous CW told me I was licensed in May!!
It's been 3 months since I was supposed to get license rate and pay through the agency, so I called our state advocacy office and complained yesterday and got a return call this morning. The paperwork from my agency had two different dates on it and was incomplete. The advocate called my agency and told them to get everything together that was still needed and send it to her pronto. She's going to personally walk it through and get my license and pay set up correctly.
The agency director got an ear full from her, too. She had called 10 days ago about the status of my license and pay and he didn't call. His excuse was that the office was moving and phones and computers weren't up. She asked him if he'd ever heard of a cell phone!
I'm glad our state has an advocate's office for foster parents. I don't know what I'd do without them.
