Concerned About Dyslexia

Thread Starter
DH suffered with dyslexia as a child. He still has issues sometimes. Tonight he mentioned that he's concerned about DD(3) possibly being dyslexic. She often switches syllables around (calls pork chops chork pops) and when I mentioned that she will read letters backwards (last letter first) he was concerned. Is this something I should mention to her speech/occupational therapist, or is she too young to be diagnosed/treated?

She is awfully young but she is at increased risk because of her daddy so he's correct to be on the look out. And he's also correct that switching her words like that is a flag. http://www.dys-add.com/symptoms.html I'd probably call or email and ask Mrs. Beers who runs this site about her age and when to start getting concerned and take action. She was very kind to answer all my questions about my son.

There are lots of good programs available if it turns out she's dyslexic. I'm just not sure when you would start those age wise.
