lil joeys vs. rumparooz for 0-3mo time frame?

So I have the option of asking our parents for some diapers...wondering which route to go.

Right now I have 2 dz infant bummis prefolds, a good selection of small and NB sized fitteds and a few(6) rumparooz (OS) already. I also have 6 covers, and some doublers.

I just want to make sure I can make it through the first little while before I decide what I am going to do after the early stages. But would it be wise to get a few "for sure will fit a newborn" AOI's to go along with my prefold stash? Or would it be more wise to buy some AOI OS's that I can keep in my stash long term?

I don't want to have things that are useless in my stash, but I'm also blessed to have the option to be a bit frivolous as the grandparents suggested getting something "easy" for their use.

1- are you planning on leaving your NB w your parents?

2- they dont get much easier than the rumparooz you already have. But, unless your babe is good sized they probably wont fit all that well (i've seen them on a 3 wkold who was 8,12 and they were still a bit big). For the nb period, they do not have the umbilical notch, which is probably worth looking for. Picking up some KL0s Or something similar would probably be a good idea.

no, not leaving our nb with our parents...they just suggested that they would like to change a few diapers and would like some easy ones to use...they are pretty enamoured with bring involved.

but I haven't really looked into the KLO's...it's a good thought, anyone else have any thoughts?
