How much is breast milk sold for?

I'm curious to know... if someone were selling their breast milk (instead of donating), what would the going rate be per ounce? Any ideas?

I would like to know... b/c if someone were to sell it locally, it would be nice to know if it is cheaper than having free/donated breast milk shipped overnight at over $100 a shipment.

Thanks.

I know here it is illegal to sell it.

But the milk bank charges about 3.50/oz.

Its never worth it to pay for shipping unless theyre shipping at least 150 oz, IMO.

I'd also suggest exhausting all avenues for sourcing. LLL meetings, mw, IBCLC, etc.

Ahhh, you must be in one of these 3 states - NY, CA, or TX.

Milk bank is a bit different... more expensive.

I think it's going for $1 or $2... but which is more common?
