What would the Fertile Focus microscope look like if I am already pregnant??

Maybe this is premature, but I am wondering if anyone can help me. I *think* I have already ovulated (based on CM and cervix position, and a rough count of days) but when I used the Fertile Focus microscope today on a whim, I got a sort of ferning pattern, but not the whole lens, just a few ferns here and there, but very clear ferns however.

Could I already be pregnant? Or could the hormones from me still nursing DD be showing up as ferning?

It's not time for AF yet, so I am early for testing, but just wondering if the Fertile Focus will remain semi-ferning if I am already pregnant? Thanks for any help, mamas.

Anyone?

I am nervous about testing in case I get a BFN. I am on cycle day 22. My cycles since PPAF came back have been about 26 days, with one or two going a week longer. I don't temp.

Yesterday there was no "ferning" on the microscope, but today there was!! But I think it's too late to be ovulation. The scope tests for estrogen, so...? Could I be pregnant? Tonight my cervix was really posterior and low, somewhat hard, I think. (I don't check my cervix regularly) But the CM was NOT egg white. It was sticky and yellowish.

I'm thinking of testing this weekend. Please, any thoughts anyone?? DH is getting a bit tired of my obsessing over this. Plus, I'd want to surprise him if we are in fact pregnant.

I hope someone has a clear answer for you. I do know that ferning can be sensitive to eating and drinking and should be done when you have not altered the environment in your mouth for awhile. I do mine first thing in the morning.

I do not know for sure, but I don't think you would fern while pregnant. The ferning is caused by high estrogen and if you are pregnant, you would have higher progesterone.

I would wait until you are past your very latest for AF to come and then test, if you don't want to test to early. If you had ferning today, perhaps your body is still balancing out and just have wacky hormones still or you might be gearing up for O. Some mamas have shared that they are inconsistent with their cycles for a bit PP, even after they think they have regulated out.

Hope this helps some.

There is a secondary estrogen surge several days after ovulation (usually about 6-7dpo, which is what some non-pregnant women see as a possible implantation dip in their charts as well as some women seeing as a sudden return of fertile CM)

This could cause partial ferning in the LP.

Microscopes don't really tell you anything outside of ovulation, sorry.

Oh. Well, thanks for the responses, mamas. It helps to have someone think with me on this, YK? Wishful thinking I guess.
