Acne, and intuition about sex

Anyone else have acne all of a sudden? I've never broken out like this before! This is my 3rd pregnancy and my skin was smooth and glowing with the first 2. This brings me to another idea, I've had a feeling since the moment I learned I was pregnant that this baby was a girl (my first 2 are boys). Is it possible that a different hormonal mix is making my skin break out? Just curious.

And, any ideas on how to clear up my face? This is so embarassing!

DDC crashing here but I can totally sympathise about the acne. My skin isn't great most of the time actually but with my pregnancy with DD it actually cleared up & was more glowing than it's ever been by mid pregnancy. The beginning however had waves of gross acne all over my face & even my neck (ew!).

As far as clearing it up I recently discovered a super long but really neat thread about washing your face with raw unpasteurised honey. Strange? definitely! But I swear that my troubled skin hasn't looked this good in a really long time.
I wash with the honey 2x daily & a couple of times per week mix in a couple of crushed asparins to make it a scrub. Breakouts are literally gone by the morning, it's awesome (& so much cheaper than all of the many products I've tried!)
here's the thread as crazy as it all sounds:

Good luck!

I'd steer clear of aspirin in pregnancy - even if you are just putting it on your face, your body absorbs a lot of what you put on it (and obviously it does if it is clearing acne). Aspirin in early pregnancy is associated with increased risk of miscarriage. Perhaps it's fine, but I like to be ultra safe about medication in pregnancy. The honey sounds great though.

i have acne on my forehead especially in the first trimester. it's actually one of the things that made me go get a test. i tried the honey for a while, but its effects tapered off after a month for me. less big breakouts but lots of blackheads.

I've got pimples everywhere right now. My entire forehead is broke out with the little bumpies. I have clusters of them on my chin, neck and chest.

I'll have to try honey. Glad to know I'm not the only one with skin issues right now.

Isn't there some saying about pregnant women that a girl baby will 'steal your looks'. That if you are glowing and radiant, it's a boy? I swear I've read that somewhere...maybe it's true!

Something like that, yeah. Could be true. I had adult acne fairly bad until I got pg with my first (a boy) and it cleared up with pregnancy. Didn't get acne with my second either. OTOH, there was a woman whose blog I read once who was pg with a girl and had awful acne.... *shrug*

If that's the case, then this is another boy cuz I don't have acne this time either....
