Ugh. Dd left out rabbit overnight...

Ok, so these rabbits traveled from Texas to Kentucky and back recently (in cooler frozen for first few days and then plenty cold) and we cooked (on grill w/bbq sauce) them last night. We were late getting supper going so decided to eat all the other stuff and save the rabbits for tonight. Then I realize that my dd forgot them. Dh had put them in the oven after bringing them in from the grill. The oven had never been heated up that night. They were in the oven for about 6 hrs. Would you toss or keep? If it were poultry I'd probably have already tossed it. Our house was 70 degrees F all night.

Do you have a dog? If so, I think it's treat time.

They were cooked and then left at room temp for 6 hrs?
We would probably eat them in our house.

Yep, fully cooked. And it's hard to think of tossing them because we raised them ourselves and my dds butchered them.

We'd eat them here.

Thanks for the input, Ladies. My dh wants to keep 'em. I think they will be fine. Letcha know if we get sick, lol. I'm sure we won't, though.

Definitely eat them. We routinely leave cooked meat out overnight so it can cool down (putting right in fridge is bad for food safety too!).

We ate 'em and they were just fine.
