Decode this toddler behavior?

My DS is 17mo. He's currently working on potty training () Recently we hit at least 75% catches during the day. He runs around naked and takes himself to his potty...

Well, the past couple of days he started putting toys in his potty before peeing in it...

Why??

Because he wants to see what the toy would look like with pee on it. DUH MOM!!!

I doubt there is much rhyme or reason to WHY children of all ages do what they do, other then good old fashioned curiosity.

awww. that's cute. it's probably just interesting to him. maybe he thinks his potty is a nice place to be or maybe he wants to pee on a toy and see what happens. it's great that he's creative and manipulating his environment. do you have a video camera?
