I don't follow any schedule for wbv but I do go every once in a blue moon to my FNP (also my CNM) usually every year or two when I have to do a well woman visit.

Even though we don't vax, I like to have some sort of records just in case something comes up since we unschool I'm a little paranoid about being called someday by a government agency.

My kids have been to the Dr many times, we have 5 (soon to be 6 and the older ones have been to wbv. We usually bring the youngest in for most of the wbv for the first year, I would say every few months. We do not vax and our ped is fine with it. He is a homeopath and will use herbal remedies before any traditional meds, so we are happy with his being relaxed with our kids. I do bring the older kids in every couple of years so that we have a notation in theirs charts, our ped suggested this so that we would be covered if we were ever investigated by dcf, this way we would not be charged with medical neglect. Our youngest right now has 5 specialists that he sees infrequently so we do use the traditional med system when needed, we just don't need it often.

Our kids don't usually have to see the ped unless the issue is one that he does not understand from a phone conversation or I have not encountered before, not usual here

When the little one is born we will do a week visit and a 1 mo visit then space out by two or three months until a year, no vax but this will cover us for being seen and I will sched our older kids to have a visit the same day so that I can have their check ups taken care of for the next couple of years.

Karika, my mother was born in 1948. She clearly remembers hiding under the bed when the doc came to the house.
