first time trying???? Just curious!!

I wasn't even "trying" when I got pregnant with my son, he was a honeymoon baby. Now this second one... still not on the way.

I did with DD, my very first cycle off of BCPs.

Which makes it all the more frustrating that the next one has been so hard.

both times, they were both "planned"

I got pregnant with my daughter the month BEFORE we started trying.

(Which is why this having a hard time ttc #2 is a total bummer/surprise)

DS was conceived during our one and only session that we didn't use any form of protection (we had been drinking ). He was not a planned baby, but a very welcomed surprise.

DD was conceived during our first month of trying.

We conceived my second month off of BCP, but I am almost certain it was my first ovulation. I fully expected it to take months of trying and was shocked (in a good way). We'll see come the second time if that was a total fluke or not.

we conceived first month 'trying' - it was my second month off BCP though. (the first month DH was out of town in the middle of the month!)

I m/c that pregnancy though.

the second time, it was the third cycle after the m/c, so the second month 'trying' (they said not to try the first cycle)

and if I am pregnant right now, that also will be the first cycle trying, which would be pretty crazy.

I guess it was good that I was pretty careful with birth control all those years

My current pregnancy (my first) was planned. I started taking prenatals and planning over the winter, went off BCP in in the spring (but used condoms) for three months, and then got pregnant immediately the first month we didn't use condoms.

Like seafox, I'm glad I stuck to my BCP all those years I wasn't ready!

Here's hoping this baby keeps sticking!

Me too! Actually, because my cycles off the pill were really long it was really only about 2 weeks before we'd planned on trying. But, we also knew full and well that we were taking a chance of getting pregnant early when I left the diaphragm in the box in the drawer

Yep, we got pregnant with DS the first cycle we started trying. Like some others, #2 is taking much longer (on cycle 10 now) and it's very frustrating!

We got it the first time we actually tried. I'd been ready to try for a bit beforehand, but illness and scheduling kept getting in the way. The first cycle I wasn't sick AND my husband was in the country during O we got it.

Child #1: I got pregnant two months after stopping BCP and the first month of non-protection

Child #2: 10 months of hard-core TTC

Currently TTC #3.

Yes! DD was a first try baby. I'd been off the pill for many months and had been charting. That first time was the charm!

It looks like most people have an easier time with #1 than #2.... interesting
