What do I do with a drop side crib when we are done with it?

We are about to put our toddler in a toddler bed so we will be done with the crib. It is a drop side. I just did some investigating and found out that the company offers a free kit to stabilize the side, so I ordered it. Other than the fact that it is a drop side, it is a perfectly good, usable, nice crib.

Do you think I could sell it on craigslist if I use the kit and stabilize the drop side?

I don't see why not. Or maybe consign it? Depending on the age/condition of the crib, you could get anywhere from $75 to $150 for it.

We turned the sides of ours into an indoor drying rack.

The big heart in me says to have someone you know that needs one borrow it, someone you trust, so that if you plan on having another baby, you can get it back.

A friend of ours let us borrow a crib for DS2. Its beautiful, and I will be very happy to hand it back to her when we are done with it.
