gluten free breadmachine?

In the last week, we now have an au pair to help out with my 9 month old twins. She has celiac disease. She was only diagnosed in May, so she is still trying to get used to the change in her diet.

I have a bread machine that I have used lots for 10 years. My husband has been encouraging me to get a new one for a couple of years because it has declined to the point that I have to fairly continuously watch and assist it.

I am finally thinking that it may be time to invest in a new one, though I have quite a sentimental attachment to the old one at this point!

I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for machines that are successful with gluten-free recipes. I was reading some reviews and it sounds like all breadmachines are not necessarily good with gluten-free.

Thanks!

I don't have any advice for you - we bake GF bread without a machine - However - If your Au Pair has celiac then she will need a dedicated bread machine - that means if you want it to be safe for her, you can not put gluten into it at all. Even if you clean it well.

Exactly, she will need her own bread machine. And toaster and mixer and pans and wooden spoons and cutting board and colander and sponges. Cross-contamination is a serious issue; gluten gets stuck on so many surfaces. Also, if you do still cook with gluten flour, everything needs to be wiped down every single time, flour floats in the air. If she breathes it in, it won't be good.
