Help! GFCF/Soy/Nuts

Forgive me if I sound totally ignorant about this, I don't have much experience.

We have friends coming for a birthday party Sunday and the oldest child is on the GFCF diet and also I know that he can't have soy and nuts. I want to make sure I have plenty for him to eat (even if it's not cake!) any suggestions? I have fruit and baby carrots/hummus, chips and salsa so far...

That's very nice of you (make sure that the salsa you have doesn't have vinegar in it, unless it specifies apple cider vinegar or you're making it yourself, and that the chips don't have soybean oil). You could ask the mom for suggestions. What are other people having? As long as there are no fillers, you could do a hamburger or a chicken breast sauteed in olive oil. Baked potato. Other veggies are good raw too: celery, green peppers, some kids like raw broccoli. And if he's no nuts, just make sure he can do sesame seeds (in the hummus). I know some kids are allergic to both. Lightly salted rice cakes (look at ingredients) are good to munch on. If you made sauteed chicken, and a baked potato the night before, and then just reheated it in the microwave, then you wouldn't have to worry about so much during the party. Coconut Bliss and So Delicious both make coconut milk ice cream (you may want to ask for flavor suggestions from the mom, since it is expensive). Some of the flavors have nuts or soy, so you just have to be careful (we're okay with vanilla and chocolate).
