Travelling to NYC - vaccines?

Not that it's a developing country with diptheria outbreak ... but is that a vaccine that you would say is a good idea to get before travelling to NYC? I know that there was some H1N1 in Nyc last year, but we never got the vax and we didn't think too much of it.

We are age 38, 31, 6, 4, 1, and pregnant too, travelling from mountain-region rural inland west coast Canada.

Just looking for anyone's two cents.

I don't think there is anything you would need to get.

There are plenty of people that choose not to vaccinate living in and around the city. It would be ALL over the news if people were coming down with the diseases the vaccinations supposedly cover.

Have a great time!

I'm in NYC, and there doesn't seem to be anything circulating you should worry about right now IMO. If you usually do flu shots anyway, you will be around more people, so maybe a good idea, but nothing else.

I wouldn't worry about anything. Most people I know live in NYC and are completely unvaxed. They are all just fine.

nope. just do some immune boosters (raw honey, etc. the usual) since you will be rubbing elbows with a lot of people from pretty much every corner of the globe.
