Anyone have problems w/ Hyland's ?

We used both Hyland's teething & colic tabs w/ both DD1 &2. Now w/ DS - I noticed it when I used the colic tabs & now when I tried the teething ones - he gets pretty uncomfortable & then the next day - some blood streaked mucous in the stool.
Something in it must really be irritating the GI lining. I'm not sure what though. Interestingly he is my only baby who does not want to do solids either. (Although we've only really been trying for 2-3wks.)

Guess I'm going to have to buy an amber necklace. ()

We've never had problems, I've used it with my last 3 babes. I actually used it a lot with ds1 & he had allergic colitis (bleeding colon) but never had trouble with those. Odd. No possibility of anything else he's reacting too?? That's got to be frustrating. I hope you find something that works.

I could be wrong and don't have time to look it up but aren't the tablets in a dairy base? Could that be what's irritating him? Might be a shot in the dark...

They are definitely dairy/lactose based. Have you tried the gel version?

Its probably a dairy issue. Try the gel I think its dairy free. We have an amber teething necklace for dd and it seems to help. She is allergic to dairy.

Yes, same deal and its from it being dairy based.

There are dairy ingredients in those tablets that are *not* safe for infants, especially babies who are dairy intolerant.

wow i had no idea about the dairy based- we think dd has a dairy intolerance, but she never had a reaction to the tablets- thank goodness, we loved those things!

I have tried the gel - and I don't think we had any issues. So the pps could be right - it could be dairy! I just ordered my Inspired by Finn necklace - so hopefully that will help too!
