I wouldn't worry about being "that" parent -- there is something clearly wrong with communication at the school.
FWIW, our school does PBIS, and we have NEVER gotten anything like a 'reteach' home. I find the entire concept odd. Um.. yeah, you've gotta remind 1st graders of the rules. It's how they learn!
