Is 1yo too young to bedshare with sibling?

I'm having a baby in the Spring. Dd will be 16 months (she's 9 months now). Sometime before then I'd like to transition her out of our bed and into her sister's bed. Sister is 6 years old and loves the idea.

I still have to tackle nightweaning (watch me trot right over to the breastfeeding forum when I'm done here), so not sure when we'll be ready, but do you think by age one this would be safe?

Any experience with this?

Wondering the same thing I'm not pregnant at the moment, but in the event that I did become pregnant, our soon to be 3yo and our 9 month old (If I got preggo now, she'd be 18mos) sharing a bed would REALLY work well for us.

I would say it would depend on how the 6yo sleeps. Does she move around alot? Is she a really heavy sleeper? Thinking about my 5yo and 2yo I would be comfortable having them share a bed by themselves.
