Dr Mercolas article re Vegetarians/Angelina Jolie etc

Did anyone happen to read this article from Dr Mercola-Angelina Jolie says Vegan diet nearly killed her. Was hoping someone else was going to post it.
Surprised me that he would title his article this way-ridiculous!
Then he goes on to say he has reduced his meat consumption to once or twice a week? Isn't he almost eating a vegetarian diet himself but then goes on to say how bad it is? Would love to hear thoughts on this article. I have never looked at Angelina Jolie as a role model myself. Its seems he really wants everyone to eat just like him. Wonder what David Wolfe has to say about this article.

Well, I'll agree with him on this quote: "There is No Perfect Diet that Works for Everyone."

I do believe that some people thrive on a veg*n diet, and some people wither away.

The headline is quite sensational. Headlines are like that. Made you read it, eh?

Exactly. AJ is so painfully skinny. I cringe when I see pictures of her, and discover another bone sticking out that I never knew we had.

I wouldn't be surprised if her "vegan" diet was a carrot and celery fast, or something equally ridiculous. If she would just eat more than 700 calories every day, she'd be just fine. *rolling eyes*

I didn't read it because I don't trust Mercola farther than I can throw the mountain of products he's trying to sell me.

However, I did read this blog on the same topic - http://www.choosingraw.com/did-vegan...omment-page-1/

Yeah, he has become irritating.

And doesn't he have a vegan girlfriend?

Oh nice, the article mentions that "I found out about five minutes ago from a friend who works at a news publication that this statement from Jolie hasn’t actually been confirmed."

But I agree with "Take Angelina: who knows what her actual diet consisted of? She’s rumored to be a restrictive eater (certainly past photos indicate as much), so is it possible that she simply wasn’t eating enough, or with enough variety?"

I've wondered if some people who suffer from eating disorders hide that fact by calling themselves vegan. I guess they figure that no one will question them if they eat a plate of cucumbers as a meal, since most people are ignorant about what a healthy vegan diet is.

I do know some people who have used veganism to mask an ed. But, I actually know more people who have used veganism to recover!

I agree too that every person is different. The headline actually did not make me read it. I get a daily email that I always read. I have no interest in reading about Angelina. She is one of my least favorite actresses.
