Hello!

I'm late again... DS woke me up at least 20 time last night but didn't came back in 15 minutes when I asked for it at 6 (neither did DH : )

No move on the scale for me! And it's a good thing!
Last week was rocky (DS had chickenpox) but even tho I didn't move much and didn't watch my food intake my body was okay with it!

So I'm still 130.5

I must have done something wrong in my dance class last friday because I can barely walk.. it hurt on the back of my thight(sp?) I hope it resolves soon, I must get back on track (and practice my dances! the show is in 5 weeks and I'm far from ready with the tap dance : I still feel like an hippo Jazz and HipHop are ok tho)

That's it! The Weight Loss Club is open! Come and share!

I just want to say up-front to get it out of the way: Thank you, ladies, for being here. Thank you for feeling comfortable enough with who you are and what you are doing to be able to put yourself out in cyberspace week after week. You ladies help me to believe in a better, more compassionate world.

Highest PP (Jan '03): 225
Start here (Jan '04): 215
Last week: 208
This week: 209
Mini-goal: 205
Going to TX Goal: 199

is visiting this week but it's not as bad as it usually is. I am so happy with how I am eating these days and the way I can stop when I'm not hungry anymore. I LOVE the way I feel when I'm finished eating- not miserable. Anyway, can't wait for it to get warm here again... need sunshine... need sunshine!

**edited: had to go check last week's numbers** :

Yes, Mama Bee. In the midst of challenges about this forum and our intentions as people trying to lose weight, it is nice to still have this space of support.

Last week: 184 lbs
Current weight: 183 lbs
Total loss this week: 1 lb
Total loss since baby: 43 lbs
Total loss since September: 29 lbs
Total Loss since joining MDC Club on 2/9: 11 lbs
New mini-goal: 180 lbs
Larger goal: 175 lbs
Ultimate Dream: 170 lbs

I am hoping to hit my minigoal for next week. One pound this week is a bit dissappointing but I got AF and that sort of screwed things up a bt. But 180 for next week should be do-able!

Hope everyone is well!

Last week 140.0
today 140.0
mini goal 140.0
end goal 125

I am going to set my next mini goal as 135. But frankly, I will just be so excited when I see 139.5.
I am redoing my workout as Ds2 needs to nap during all the really cool classes at the gym. So I am switching my focus back to weights and treadmill which I can do anytime. It got kind of frustrating trying to work around nap times (Ds2 naps morning and mid-afternoon, Ds1 naps early afternoon).

I hereby deem this week the Week of Weight Loss

Much better this week - but still kinda stuck

Last night: 156.5
Last week: 159
Bye bye AF and take the 2.5 with you!!
Mini goal by next week: 154

HAs anyone checked out fitday.com? It helps you track your nutrional and caloric intake. Its great - found out how much of my daily intake was coming from fats and OMG!!!! I am better about that now though. Okay off for breakfast now!

Goodcents, thanks for the link! I'll check it out later.

Valerie,
your dance classes sound like so much fun! I love dance, was in it off and on growing up and in college. Hope to be able to do it again when we have some extra $. I have also had a bad lst couple of nights as my kids have colds, DS (2 yrs) gets up thirsty a milion times and either his crying wakes up DD (3yrs) or she has a bad dream . Then I'm up with DD3 (8 mo) to nurse and when she's sick more often than twice in the night. Thank God for co-sleeping or I would be crazy by now!

MamaBee,
way to go on your habit changes, happy we can all be here for each other .

Goodcents,
I second that!

As for me, things are going much better for DH and I. Seeing some light at the end on the tunnel takes some pressure off. I'm ready to start eating healthy again. I really need to change the way I deal with extreme stress. I also think AF might be back very soon as I've been achy in the general area (unless I did too many Pilates crunches last week, lol!). I only got to exercise twice last week but I'll try for three - four this week.

Highest pre-birth - 230lbs
Highest post-partum - 195lbs (got stuck there)
When I started posting - 185lbs
Today's weight - 177lbs
Last week - 175lbs
Mini-goal - 170lbs
long term goal - around 150lbs

At 170 I will be pre-pregnancy weight. Before children I was 155lbs and could have stood to lose 5lbs. Before DD2 I evened out to 160-165lbs. This is quite the challenge for me and I'm going to be more conscious about changing my habits this week, and not just the ones that come more easy!

Ya! Dance classes are really cool! My dd began last year in that school and we enjoy that concept of doing 3 different dance styles in one class! The kids are doing Classic Ballet, Jazz or HipHop and TapDance. We, adults, have a Jazz choregraphy and one HipHop - I choose to do an additionnal TapDance class (seperate class this year because most adults didn't want to do this) for the challenge - and it's VERY challenging :LOL

OT: need help keeping my cool... they will be building new houses on my street and they are now using explosive in order to dig in the rock : I jump at each BOOM!, my house is shacking and I'm slowly becoming a nerve wreck ild

Yeah, dance class does sound great. i do Curves because it is 1/2 block from my house and enjoy it because our Curves is run entirely by West Indies women and so it feels a little bit like a dance class! Anyone ever seen STOMP - it is like that!

Good work everyone (and sorry about the explosives - sounds like it sucks).

2 more weeks till I check my weight....I'll check it the Monday after April 1.

But I feel pretty good. I went overboard this weekend. My parents were in so we ate out several times (there treat )

I'm not evengoing to post lat weeks stats or goals.

I did ok on water intake but I'm always hoping to do more. I bought a wipe off board for the fridge and I'm keeping track of my water intake there. Now everytime I go to the kitchen I have a reminder of drinking water instead.

Is anyone keeping track of their weight loss through photos?? I was when I started losing weight last year but haven't yet. It was weird to look back at the last photo taken and then look at me in my 9th month of pg!! I didn't realze how skinny I was :LOL

I also wanted to mention that this journey for me is much more than weightloss. Weightloos is just the visual reward. My ultimate goal is to become the healthy person I truly desire to be. I'm kinda stuck in a slump right now (this has its own thread) and this is giving me a goal and something to strive for.

Me too! We had a family picture done in November (I was the most I'd ever weighed in Nov & Dec) and comparing my face now and then you can see a lot of the weight I've lost came off my face! It went from round to having cheekbones again. I've only lost approx 7lbs since then, but I guess being short makes it seem like more.

I got a wonderful compliment this weekend. One of dh's friend's wife stopped by this weekend and she noticed I'd lost a bit of weight.

I'll post my stats on Wednesday, we had scheduling complications today so I was unable to work out and I don't have a scale at home. Feel great though!

Hi ladies

I'm totally annoyed. I've been working out every day for a week along with dieting and haven't lost a BLASTED POUND!!! ARGH!!

I HATE THIS!

I'm still 148

I still want to weigh about 138

I'm still going to go to the gym every day

But I'm still annoyed! This pouch full of fat won't budge!!!

hi everybody!

naking

Sorry about your frustration oatmeal...i feel your pain. I have a feeling i will be in your shoes soon...OTOH,

here are my stats this week!

Last week: 147
This week: 145
Weight loss: 2lbs
Mini goal: 140
Ultimate goal: 128

I honestly have no idea how i lost weight this week. I did not do anything towards weight mantenance, and ate nothing but pastries and processed foods. For shame!

we have just bought our first house and we are so excited but our stress levels are through the roof! This has translated into crappy eating, lack of exercise and sleep, and heightened caffeine consumption-not to mention dehydration. I will try to be better to myself this week .

Hello ladies! Keep up the good work! Whether you lost or not, you are all working hard!

I am on vacation at my in laws, my mother in laws scale said....

156.
Last week: 156
No loss. But I am content because I have not hit the gym or been watching what I eat. Yummy cookies and M&Ms. But no eating past 8pm.
Mini goal: 146
Ultimate Goal: 130
Good luck to all and keep up the hard work.

Well, I'm down 21 lbs. since January. My husband still doesn't notice. : BUT, my fat clothes are too big and I fit into my old jeans again.

Someone mentioned pictures. I have before pictures, but I'm waiting a while before taking anymore. I don't want to get discouraged. I think it would be better to have before and after naked pics. You can really see the difference then.

Oatmeal:

It's all in the inches and how the clothes fit! And like I do when I get into about 1 month of exercise, I one day wake up to find 5lbs dissappeared overnight!
