Anyone go back to stores for price adjustments?

I normally keep my receipts and wait until the last day to make sure I get the cheaper price to get a price adjustment if the item is on sale. I call the store and read them the item number from the receipt to find out if it's cheaper. A shirt I purchased is $10 cheaper and today is the last day to get the adjustment. I don't feel like going out but I'm dragging myself to the store this morning to get my ten bucks. Anyone else doing this?

Not on purpose, but I have done it bc I just happened to be in the store and noticed a sale.

I've done it more with online shopping, Old Navy in particular. Inevitably, every time I place a largish order, I get an email with a %-off coupon, or there is some sort of sale. I'll email the order # to custserv and they refund the difference.

No, because I honestly just have too much going on in my life to do stuff like that, and time is money. Plus, I'm not much of a shopper. I hate going clothes/shoe shopping and often go to thrift shops, anyway.

More power to you, though.

Not Usually, because

I don't usually do this because I'm enough of a bargain shopper that it doesn't happen to me much. I usually get the rock bottom price, or close enough to it that I'm happy.

At Sears in Canada you can ask when an item is scheduled to go on sale and they'll tell you. Plus, they usually have extra discounts on Saturdays. Otherwise, most of my Sears purchases are from their outlet store.

In the US, I only buy at Gymboree when I have a 30% off coupon and when the item is already on sale.

For regular retail, I know the stores that I shop at and what kind of mark downs to wait for, otherwise, we shop mostly at American outlet malls (I especially like the ones in states that have no sales tax).

I do it. Not for a few cents, but for $10 I would.

Nope, I don't do this, but I also don't buy clothing that doesn't come form the thrift store other than very rare items, so don't have this issue.

I do check my receipts at the gorcery store.... just got back $6 on Monday because the register overcharged me, but I was still in the store when I noticed the issue.

Personally, we live far enough from most stores that it's just too much of a hassle to run back for exchanges or what not. It's just not worth my time to fit something like price matching into my schedule. However, I totally acknowledge that we live a different lifestyle.
If it's not that much of a hassle for you and you have something else to do in that area, then I would certainly consider going back for $10.

We do. I'm currently watching flyers to see if the printer I purchased last week has gone on sale at any other store or the store we purchased from. They have a 30 price gty and I'm taking them up on it!

It depends. It depends on the item, how much of a dollar amount I'd get back, how far away the store is located, and how easy it would be to get the price adjustment (b/c some stores are crappy about it). For $10 unless I had to drive all the way across town to a store that is crappy about price adjustments, I'd probably get it.
