Using all their fingers

Just a quick question... whens the normal age for a toddler to be able to use all their fingers independently? For example, be able to sign "I love you" where they have to hold up their pinky but no your middle and ring finger with it? DD is just fine with her thumb and pointer but can't move the other three independently and I know it really frustrates her because of some signs that she can't do.

I'm going to guess 3.5 for most kids and 4+ for some kids. One of the kindy tests is touch every finger to your thumb and I know alot of kids have to be shown how to do it.

Micah was around 2, I think? Sometimes he needed/needs to use his other fingers to help get a particular finger in position, but once it is there, he can hold it there (usually it is adding his pointer or pinky to the "I love you" sign). He could do a "y" sign (like when signing "play" or "yellow") a little earlier than that though.
