Soft IUD?

I was looking around online for information on permanent BC and found a post about a silicone IUD? I have never heard of this and wondered if any of you had experience with it? I NEED something permanent but the options out there are a little scary as far as possible complications. I have issues with hormones and issues with the idea of the copper iud so this "soft" version sounds maybe too good to be true! I will be calling my midwife and planned parenthood as soon as I can but first wanted to check with you guys for any first hand advice. So spam me about anything! Experiences, hearsay, side effects, everything and anything! Please.

The only two licensed for use the the US are Mirena and Paragard. Both are plastic, kinda bendy plastic, but not "soft". The paragard has some metal wrappings on it. The Mirena is all plastic.
There are tons more types in other countries.
I loved my IUD, the copper wrapped one. But it did cause heavier bleeding, as I expected with a copper one. For people with heavy periods, I tend to recommend the hormonal one, the Mirena.
