Is this normal for a 2.6 year old?

My daughter started preschool 3 months ago. Ever since her behavior has changed. She seems to be regressing. More clingy, more tantrums than ever and very needy and screaming for a very long time if she doesn't get her way. Before all this she was very independant. Now she's always asking for hugs and kisses and can't sleep without turning the vent on next to her room. I'm so exhausted. What should I do and is this normal? How long will this last?

Dd has always been a clinger, but the tantrums really escalated at 2.5. It was a really hard age for us. Things seemed to get better right after she turned 3... Now she's moving into another tough period.

It's normal in this house! DS isn't super clingy, never has been. But he's definitely a little more into us at the moment...well, when he's not throwing himself on the floor because he can't get the train tracks to fit
