Medical Expenses Add-on for Child Support

My 6 year-old son had a lot of behavioral issues in the past which led me to see a particular doctor to get a full work-up. Come to find out his behaviors had to do with food intolerance, leaky gut, gut dysbiosis, severe nutritional deficiencies, elevated heavy metal levels, hypothyroidism, etc. Now, 2 years later I have a different child -- much improved -- but it still requires follow-up visits to the doctor, labs, various supplements and a special diet. I literally spend a couple thousand dollars a year on his supplements/vitamins alone.

I have petitioned his father for child support since I simply cannot cover all these expenses by myself anymore. I know I get a tax deduction for his medical expenses each year, including according to the IRS, supplements that are for a particular medication condition and recommended by dr. as well as the cost difference b/c "regular" food and his special diet food. I know for child support in NY State there is an add-on for medical expenses, so I have two questions: does anyone know the definition of medical expenses? Might it include his supplements if I have a dr's note? And even the extra cost of special diet food? And does anyone know if instead of me sending his father receipts literally every week for theses expenses, if the judge would take the reasonable future medical expenses amount and roll it into the monthly child support payment?

Thanks so much for any help you can offer!

Some supplements can be included

Nutritional Supplements
You cannot include in medical expenses the cost of nutritional supplements, vitamins, herbal supplements, “natural medicines,” etc. unless they are recommended by a medical practitioner as treatment for a specific medical condition diagnosed by a physician. Otherwise, these items are taken to maintain your ordinary good health, and are not for medical care.

Your child support amount should include an amount for "ordinary medical support". Any expenses over this amount can be reimbursed according to your income ratio (at least in my state). Your local Friend of the Court will have the appropriate forms, or they will be online. You will have to provide copies of the receipts, of course.
The amount that your ex is responsible for will then be added on to his account.
