My New Gardening Space

Hey mamas,

I'm so excited about next year. Lots of planning going on and we have now established our garden area at our new place. It's very exciting, though I'm going to have to add lots of stuff to get this ground growing, I think it will be good. My landlord thinks the world is going to heck and a handbasket soon (I think he might have read too many books like Into The Woods, anywho) so its kind of sucluded, but super cool and he is going to build a greenhouse. Awesome!

Yeah, lots of potential and I'm pretty sure he will also give me a bigger area to garden as well within the next year, but this will be a good start for garlic and greens.

We are renting, but we said we would definitely love to share the harvest with our landlord, we just love him. We plan to stay here for 3-5 yrs, long enough to save up to buy our own place, but have our kids here. We are so excited! I can't wait to get some garlic in the raised bed area, need to wait for my first paycheck.

How awesome to have a landlord you get on so well with Here most ppl rarely meet their actual landlord, we deal with real estate agents We're lucky enough that ours didn't care if we covered over some sad lawn to have a veggie garden though

Yeah, he is way cool and we actually posted what we were looking for on craigslist and he responded immediately. We were what he was looking for, I'm hoping to try to get in some renters that are community oriented and want to garden as well. I have been wanting to start a community like this for a long time. He has two other cottages here with a pasture for horses or cattle behind them. We're actually all thinking that we want it for ourselves and to put Dexter cattle in it instead, so we can harvest what we have grazing in there. We'll see what happens, he is currently getting ready to build a big rabbit hutch so we can breed rabbits for meat. Next year we are definitely putting in a greenhouse.
