Tell me your "oh no" moments that turned out okay

The title is confusing sorry.

I'm 5 weeks pregnant. My son and I were at a tractor pull (he loves tractors) at a local fair watching some regular tractors, when a dragster tractor came up. As it went by, it was so loud I instantly covered my son's ears. I saw another one ready to go, so we started to leave (we were sitting by the track) but it went by us before we could get far. I was bundled in a sweater and jacket, but it still vibrated went it went by.

Of course pregnancy hormones have taken over and I am somehow worried that the noise was damaging to my little bean (I guess since it's ears aren't developed I'm thinking the central nervous system or something)

I'm sure I'm being silly, but would love some other stories to help me feel better They don't have to be noise related specifically, b/c I'm sure there is someone worrying about something else too.

I have quite a few

Off the top of my head:
  • went crazy at a wine festival and later found out that I was pregnant
  • had hard liquor in several mixed drinks and later found out that I was pregnant (different pregnancy than the one above)
  • fell down icy outdoor stairs while I was 7 months pregnant
  • fell down perfectly dry indoor stairs when I was in my third trimester (different pregnancy than the one above)
  • ate almost raw meat while pregnant
  • went to an extremely loud concert while pregnant (that one should be of interest to you...there were no problems with the baby's hearing whatsoever)

Wow I have lots.

I have a tendency to fall down at the beginning of my girl pregnancies... I fell hard with DD1 and ended up ruining a pair of pants and a jacket... fell with DD2 on the ice, on my butt.

DD1 found out I was pregnant just a couple days after seriously heavy drinking... but that fear was relieved quickly by my doctor who told me it never touched her!

DS I actually ended up in the ER with a placental abruption, but with bedrest he was born just fine and is a healthy smart little 7 year old!

Around 4 months this time I was wiping and saw a HUGE amount of fresh bright red blood on the TP. I seriously almost passed out! Then I got it together and realized I had a rhoid pop! Was NOT coming from my vagina thank goodness!

A few days after conception I rode a mechanical bull in an overcrowded smoke-filled country bar. Strangely we made our first 'I might be pregnant' announcement then to a friend and implantation hadn't even happened yet!

The week before I found out I was pregnant with DS we'd thrown a party and I got so drunk I puked...

He's a totally healthy (and very bright) 17mo!

DS1 fell down some stairs in my second tri and also slipped on ice walking to school.

DS2 had some bleeding with him at 8 weeks, was told it was implantation bleeding. I thought it was from having sex, as that is when it happened.

DS3 got totally trashed in the tww (didn't know I was tww'ing, lmao), more than once. It was between Christmas and New Years. I found out I was pregnant with him on the 6th of January.

I can't recall anything from my last two pregnancies but I'm sure there were plenty. I felt slightly panicky/hysterical with my daughter's pregnancy, seemed everything freaked me out/gave me anxiety.

I had 1/4 pint of (really good) beer before I knew I was knocked up
Ran a 10km race, in the heat
Rode bicycles to New Westminster from Vancouver and back (really rough, long, tiring ride!)
Had loads of caffeine (was in college)
Took ibuprofen

YIKES!

I taught a friend how to do shots (which was ridiculous to me at 30 that she didn't know how to do them without choking and sputtering, but I digress... ) the weekend before I found out I was (surprise) pregnant with DS - I rarely drink (think 1-2 drinks a month normally), but I got PLOWED that weekend, almost all weekend. He's 6-1/2, and seems to be none the worse for wear. Whew.

I took an omega supplement that contained borage oil before I knew borage oil is a supposedly a stronger version of Evening Primrose Oil! I had some uncomfortable Braxton Hicks contractions but lazy/lucky me forgot to take them for more than a day or two and did not end up in premature labor as a result.

Had several glasses of wine at a family dinner... found out I was pg three days later. But as PPs said, the wine never got near the baby.

I pulled my dh's uniform out of the washer once after he'd been to the gas chamber. My hand stung and burned...lovely. He said it had been really strong in there that day. Turns out it will cause surface pain, but it's only a respitory toxin. Dd2 was fine.

So glad to hear about the falls and drinking b4 knowing about conception... I was worried a bit but am glad to know yours turned out fine : ) In month 3 I got a HORRIBLE sunburn - I have Scandinavian skin - to the point of boiling skin and serious overheating. Was worried about body temp and the baby's health. That was a serious "oh no" moment!

*Fell with ds first trimester.
* Attended not one but TWO concerts in first trimester just weeks apart. One I was right in the front row for part of the show. This was with doctor clearance ahead of time and all was well.

I had a chest x-ray when I was about 4 weeks along with DS #3. I had been hiking at high altitude in Sedona, AZ and was having trouble breathing when I got home (at sea level), so I figured I had contracted altitude sickness and went in to the ER for a nebulizer treatment. Turns out that trouble breathing is one of my earliest pregnancy symptoms . I had a dark, immediate BFP a week later (once I finally figured out that my AF was late!).

-- went horseback riding AND ziplining at 4-5 weeks
-- Was rear-ended at 6w6d.
-- Fell down the stairs (bump, bump, bump) at 17 weeks
-- Moved a (VERY HEAVY) computer monitor and a queen-sized mattress at 7 months. Ached for 3 days, but everyone on board was ok.
-- Got myself stuck in the attic and had to jump down at 8 months because no one was home to help me.

DD1 was fine!

DD2 I had terrible m/s and a much more boring pregnancy as a result.

I painted my entire downstairs and went out for a great daquari one night after all that hard work... probably painted for a good four days there. Then I finally realized that although I had gotten my "period" before cracking open the paint, my BBT had not yet dropped, so I tested. I had just had a m/c so I was very unsure even with the BFP, and the OB's office didn't believe me at all, even as the temps made me sure. The paint fumes and hard liquor don't seem to have hurt DD one bit
