maternity jeans

I'm super annoyed with store selections of maternity pants right now. I have three pairs of jeans from my first. one pair of the small panel from Target, one of the full panel from target, and one of the small panel from gap. right now only the small panel from target fit comfortably, the ones from gap are too big still and the full panel I don't have enough of a belly for yet, and I really never liked full panel pants. so I was going to get another pair of small panel from target, except they no longer have the small panel, only the full panel and the kind with no panel. As I said, I don't like full panel, and the kind without the panel run big, the 2s are like two sizes too big, so even if I ordered a 0 off the website it would be too big. why does no one think small women get pregnant too? There's no where else in town that even has number sizes other then Gap, which runs big. so I'm left with ordering online from gap or trying to find another store to order online from somewhere without trying them on for size.

I'm curious where you end up finding small maternity stuff for my sister is also preg and she is size 0 or 2. (I'm a 10). Also wanted to tell you Old Navy maternity stuff is nice but also run large, at least one full size. I just bought a pair of GAP maternity jeans that fit perfectly. Tried it on at the store and everything. Wore them for 2 days and washed them. They shrank so much I cannot even put them on again. Bummer!

the reality from the store's POV is that they will make more $ selling bigger clothes. really small sizes are going to sit on the shelf.

hope you have some luck ordering online.

I just bought some motherhood maternity jeans and they have a full panel but the material they use is pretty different from any of my pants from last pregnancy. It is more of a stretchy/but grows with you type of thing. In some ways tighter but also really comfy. I have tons of problems with pants falling down and these are doing ok.

I also bought their simple belly band type of thing - it is called something different - a Tummy something or other.. and it help a ton on my other pair of pants that won't stay up long enough for me to walk up stairs. You can also wear it over unbutton normal pants.

If you are small you might look for the bands that have sizes though, the mothering one is one size fits all and I am not small and it works fine for me. I would worry it would not be quite tight enough for you. I love mine though, pretty comfy etc. they let me try it on and wear it around the store a few minutes to make sure it worked.

yeah, I have a bely band, hate it for the same reason I hate full panel, having my belly encased is really itchy when I'm pregnant. my normal size 1 jeans don't even fit unbuttoned anymore, haven't been able to wear them buttoned since 8 weeks. the one size up jeans I have for the first part of pregnancy and postpartum I would wear unbuttoned, but probably only for another couple of weeks, but I can only wear jeans to work if they are maternity jeans, so I can really only do that two days a week. which means currently for the 5 days a week I work I only have one pair of pants that "fits well" meaning they stay up but are too big through the hips and thighs still. part of the problem is that normally size 2 is too big for me, I still have to buy pants in the junior's or kid's sections, and pregnant I only grow in the belly. so maternity stuff I have to find somewhere that has numbered sizes (a small usually has an extra 4-6 inches) and runs on the smaller side. I'm just mad that target discontinued the one style of maternity jeans I liked.

Yes yes yes. I got a belly band hoping to make my jeans last longer but it just annoys the life out of me. I can't do my pre-preg jeans with just a rubber bands on the button anymore because my belly pushes the zipper way down past the end of my shirt

You have got to go to Mothering Maternity.....I swear they have the most comfortable maternity pants ever, and the servie is amazing. They have this kind called the 'perfect fit' that is either a full panel, or you can fold it down to under the belly. They are so so comfortable, plus they have petite sizes which are really hard to find. Don't even bother asting your money at Target or Old Navy!

yeah, I have issues with motherhood maternity. The nursing bras got from them literally were so cheap they didn't last more than two washings before they stopped holding their shape. And the people at the one here aren't helpful, they're super pushy and annoy the heck out of me. That said, I may go by just to see if they have the xs in the store with the small panel. the full panel, yes you can fold it down, you can fold any full panel down, that doesn't make it comfortable or fit under my non-maternity shirts without looking funky, and all my maternity shirts are still huge.

I'm telling you, their new 'perfect fit' pants with the full panel are unlike any other maternity pants I have ever tried, the material of the panel is so comfy, and I always hated full panel.

YES - these are the ones I bought - wearing them today.. the fabric in the belly band is totally different then anything else I have seen.. definitely can fold it down and do lots of different things with it - at least worth a try?!

The tummy band thing I bought there you can also fold in half or even thirds so that might also be something to look at.. I think it is the same fabric.

I don't know if this is at all helpful, but I bought a pair of Lilac jeans at Costco a few months ago. They're called Tummy Trimmer Jeans, but they really work for maternity, too. I haven't tried them recently because it's still been quite hot, but they had a really nice fit and tiny sizes, and weren't very expensive.

I urge you to give old navy a try again. I have 2 pairs of mat jeans from there that are now on their 2nd and 3rd pregnancy respectivly. I am normally a size 2-3, so I got a size 2. Last time I grew out of them around 25 weeks (my legs got larger, not so much the belly), but then I had a size 4 from a previous pregnancy that lasted till 37 weeks, then nothing worked.

That said, this time I am all about the leggings. I love stretch, and maybe they will last till the end this time.
